Cotton Bale Tracking

The Cotton Bale tracking project presented an opportunity for CYTEC to implement RFID technologies within the cotton industry. The goal of the project was to use active and passive-tagging RFID devices to obtain operational efficiencies to cotton warehouses by providing cotton bale location and positioning, information content for specific cotton bales, and consolidation of information components into a comprehensive cotton warehouse database.

CYTEC provided greater efficiencies within the cotton industry to allow warehouses to more accurately locate and track movement of cotton and provide valuable information to the manufacturers on the content and grade of the cotton harvested, ginned and purchased.
