Remote Inventory Tracking System (RITS)

Cytec developed a web-based data collection application that utilizes bar-coding technology to capture data from field locations. The application is tailored to inventory inspections and/or monthly maintenance regulations. It allows for remote data collection and gives the ability to print the captured data in a variety form-based reports. The application also has a transmission capability that allows data collected from a hand-held PC to be wirelessly transmitted to a database application. The system was used by FEMA to do preventative maintenance on Temporary Housing Units after Hurricane Katrina.

This application creates efficiencies by reducing data collection times, eliminating the need for manual paper forms and duplicate data entry, and providing increased visibility to potential problems and/or trends of data collected against established parameters.

The system also uses GPS technology to provide a link to view most collected data in Google Earth allowing the data to be visually inspected and confirmed.

The system is customizable for customer needs. Its database collection method can be exported to any existing system.
