Alternative Energy Research
CYTEC is engaged in ongoing research to develop cleaner modes of alternative energy. Wind energy continues to be the cleanest, most cost-effective alternative energy source available. As a result, CYTEC's current research efforts involve the development of wind turbines to generate power. Remote Inventory Tracking System (RITS) CYTEC developed a web-based data collection application that utilizes bar-coding technology to capture data from field locations.

Under a research and development contract, Cytec has developed a remote monitoring application which is comprised of intelligent nodes capable of supporting up to 8 separate and unique sensors wirelessly connected to a Central Monitoring Center (CMC) that manages each sensor. |
