SensiTEL Water Monitoring System

Under a research and development contract, Cytec has developed a remote monitoring application which is comprised of intelligent nodes capable of supporting up to 8 separate and unique sensors wirelessly connected to a Central Monitoring Center (CMC) that manages each sensor.

Cytec Cybercast System

The Cytec Cybercast System (CCS) is an innovative device, used in the distribution of files (videos, documents, etc.) on a large scale. The CCS’s delivery vehicle is a set-top box that distributes files via the Internet or private network. If Internet is not available, accommodations can be made so that material is transmitted by wireless solutions, satellite or by terrestrial television broadcasts. The system is specifically designed for the mass distribution of these files that might otherwise incur very high costs to manually distribute them.

Alternative Energy Research

Cytec is engaged in ongoing research to develop cleaner modes of alternative energy. Wind energy continues to be the cleanest, most cost-effective alternative energy source available. As a result, Cytec's current research efforts involve the development of wind turbines to generate power. The most recent initiative involves working with the non-profit humanitarian organization
REACH (Reconstruction Efforts Aiding Children without Homes)
